SIZING GUIDELINES
Not all pet beds, clothes, collars or harnesses are sized equally. Each Designer has different sizing guidelines. A medium for one designer may be a small or a large for another. For measuring, follow the guidelines in the picture and refer to the size chart for each item (see size charts below).
Neck & Girth/Chest measurements should be snug but not too tight. If your pet falls in between sizes, we recommend going up to the larger size. Also, be sure to take into consideration your pets coat and allow room for thick coats.BEDS:
- measure your pet while they're laying down in their favorite position (
stretched out or curled up) from the tip of their nose to base of their tail.
- be sure to add a little wiggle room ~ anywhere from 2 inches (
for teeny, tiny dogs) up to 18 inches (for
larger dogs).
COLLARS: take a snug measurement at the base of your pet's neck. Choose the size that best fits your pet including the thickness (
width) of the collar. A general rule of thumb is to allow for two fingers to fit under the collar. For accurate sizing it is best to measure your pet's neck rather than measuring their current collar.
STANDARD (Roman/H type, over the head) HARNESSES: take a snug measurement of the broadest part of your pet's chest and at the base of your pet's neck.
STEP IN HARNESSES: take a snug measurement directly behind your pets front legs.
NOTE: Weight is generally not a determining factor for proper sizing. (
a 12 lb Pug & and 12 lb Dachshund will require different sizes) Please take notice of any noted instructions on each designer's size chart.
